Camp Connection (“we”) helps groups find camps and retreat centers. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

What you send us. When you submit an inquiry, we receive what you typed: your name, contact details, church or organization, trip dates, group size, starting city, and any notes. That’s it — there is no account to create.
Basic technical logs. Like nearly every website, our servers record standard request information (such as IP address and page requested) used for security and to keep the site working.
A spam check on our forms. To keep spam out of our forms, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which quietly checks in the background that a real person is sending the form. Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum applies to that check.

What we use it for

To find camps that fit your trip and to contact you with options — the thing you asked us to do.
To share your trip details (dates, headcount, group type, region — and your contact details when you’re ready to talk to a camp) with the camps we’re matching you to.
To respond to camps and retreat centers that ask about listings.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your information. To anyone. Ever.
We don’t send your details to any camp you’re not being matched with.
We don’t run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
We never put personal information in web addresses or links.

Camp work profiles

If you make a profile on /work-at-camp/, we keep what you enter: your name, email, cell, home city and state, date of birth, the regions and kinds of work you chose, your availability, certifications, your answer about a background check, any faith, church or reference details you choose to add, notes, and your resume if you attach one. We show it only to camps and retreat centers that have verified their listing with us. We use your date of birth only to check your age; it is not shown to camps. Profiles expire after 12 months unless renewed, and you can ask for yours to be deleted at any time by emailing support@theoneapp.camp. Camp Connection is not an employer: each camp does its own screening, background checks and hiring.

Camp listings

Directory listings describe camps and retreat centers as businesses, using publicly available factual information. Any camp can claim its listing, correct it, or ask us to remove it — removal is honored immediately. Nothing from a camp’s internal systems is ever published without that camp’s explicit approval.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep inquiry records only as long as needed to serve your trip and our legitimate business records. Want yours corrected or deleted? Reply to any message we’ve sent you, or submit a note through the inquiry form saying so, and we’ll take care of it.

Young people

Camp work profiles start at 16. We refuse a profile from anyone younger and keep nothing from it. If you are 16 or 17, you must name a Guardian (a parent, legal guardian or other responsible adult). We email your Guardian, your profile stays hidden from every camp until your Guardian confirms it, and camps contact your Guardian, not you. A profile no Guardian confirms is deleted automatically after 30 days. A Guardian can ask for the profile to be deleted at any time by emailing support@theoneapp.camp. The rest of this website is for adults planning group trips, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes will be called out on this page.
