Camp Cherith of Western New York's current site was found through a 1970 newspaper classified ad for an '83-acre' former colonial homestead with a trout stream and pond in Hunt, NY; before that, the camp had operated since 1959 at what is now Camp Hickory Hill in Johnsonburg, NY (also in this batch).
